Sparkles
Program – A bimonthly, communitywide litter pick up
from March through November on Bella
Vista’s city roads. Litter will be collected May 7-9,
July 2-4, Sept. 3-5 and Nov. 5-7. Residents interested in
adopting a road west of U.S. 71 should
contact Sandy Lamberty, at (479) 426-4650. Meanwhile, residents
interested in adopting a road east of U.S. 71 should contact Al Akey, at (479) 715-6303. Vests, bags and litter pickers will be
provided.

Annual Paddle in Paradise – A kayak event on
Saturday, June 12, on Bella Vista Village’s Lake Avalon. A rain
date is scheduled for June 19. The event will include kayak
rides, music and demonstrations by the Bella Vista Fly Tyers.

Gift of Thanksgiving
– The Community Outreach Department will be collecting food and
other items for local families in need during the holidays. In
2009, 17 local families received food baskets at Thanksgiving
and additional 17 families received food baskets, as well as
clothing and toys for Christmas. This year, volunteers are
needed to organize the donated food items, arrange the food
baskets and deliver the items. For more information, contact

Third Annual Festival of Trees
– Community organizations, clubs, businesses and residents
volunteers will plan Christmas tree lightings throughout the
village from Nov. 26 through Dec. 3. Each tree has a nonprofit
benefactor and activities for families to enjoy during the
