| The 100-yard rifle range features three covered shooting
benches,
while the 50-yard pistol range offers one
continuous bench.
Each shooter is required to furnish their own
targets and attachments
for
the stands. POA members and guests
may
obtain a key for the
gun range
gates at the Branchwood Recreation
Center. During
daylight-saving hours, on Monday through Saturday, the last key
to the Rifle and Pistol Range will be issued between 6 and 6:15
p.m. and must be returned by 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, the last key
will be issued at 5 p.m. and must be returned by 6:30 p.m. Members and guests will be required to leave their POA-issued
photo ID cards, paper membership cards or guest cards at the center until they return
with the key. In addition, each person will be required to sign
an agreement and a release of liability in order to use the gun
range. There is a one hour and 30 minute time limit on having a
key checked out. Members and guests that do not return keys are
subject to a fine. Members and guests are asked to lock the gate
after entering or exiting the range area. Those without keys
will not be allowed to enter the range.
