The pistol range will be closed on weekdays throughout February and open on weekends.

Directions: From Bella Vista's Town Center, take Arkansas 340 west for 4.6 miles to the intersection of Arkansas 279 and Highlands Boulevard. Take Highlands Boulevard for 5.8 miles. Turn west on Rocky Dell Hollow road (at white log church). Proceed 1.3 miles to the entrance of the Highland's Gun Range. Trap & Skeet is on past the Rifle and Pistol Range on the left with a sign that reads "HIGHLANDS SPORTS CENTER."

Trap & Skeet Hours:
(Winter)
Wednesday – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The last shooting rounds must commence by 4:30 p.m.

(Summer – Daylight-Saving Time)
Wednesday – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Rifle and Pistol Range Fall Hours:
• The key is available at 7 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and 8 a.m. Sunday at the Branchwood Recreation Center.
The last key to the Rifle and Pistol Range will be issued at 5:15 p.m. and must be returned by 7 p.m. On Sunday, the last key will be issued at 5 p.m. and must be returned by 6:30 p.m.
Winter hours beginning Nov. 5 are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, the last key to the Rifle and Pistol Range will be issued at 4:15 p.m. and must be returned by 5:30 p.m.
Members must accompany guests wishing to use the Highlands Gun Range. Guests will not be issued a key.


Gun Range Gate Fee:
• $2 for members with a POA-issued photo identification card
• $4 for members without a POA-issued photo identification card
• $5 for sponsored guests

Trap & Skeet Target Fee (25 Clay Targets per round):
• $3 for members with a POA-issued photo identification card
• $4 for members without a POA-issued photo identification card
• $5 for sponsored guests 

Rifle and Pistol Range
Shooting at moving targets is prohibited. The 100-yard rifle range features three covered shooting benches, while the 50-yard pistol range offers one continuous bench. Each shooter is required to furnish their own targets and attachments for  the stands. POA members may obtain a key for the gun range gates at the Branchwood Recreation Center.

Members will be required to leave their POA-issued photo identification cards and paper membership cards at the center until they return with the key. In addition, each person will be required to sign an agreement and a release of liability in order to use the gun range. There is a one hour and 30 minute time limit on having a key checked out. Members that do not return keys are subject to a fine. Members are asked to lock the gate after entering or exiting the range area. Those without keys will not be allowed to enter the range.

Trap & Skeet Ranges
The Highlands Gun Range has three trap fields and two skeet fields with overlay. The complex is manned by a range master. Members and guests are required to bring their own guns and ammunition; targets are provided for a fee. No outside targets may be used on the Trap & Skeet Ranges. Children 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
