Allied Waste Services of
Bella Vista offers a free recycling program to Bella Vista
residents. Unlimited recycling is picked up one-time per month
on the second full week of each month. However, residents must
subscribe to the service. Allied Waste Services of Bella Vista
encourages each resident to participate in recycling. The
company believes that recycling is essential to prolong the life
of landfills and preserve natural resources. Currently, about
700 residents participate in the free program.
Recyclables, which will be collected on the customer’s regularly
scheduled trash day, must be placed in blue bags, which are
available at Harp’s, Cooper’s Building Materials and Grand
Central Station in Bella Vista or Wal-Mart in Bentonville.
Recyclables include white or colored letter head, computer
paper, tablet paper, ledger paper, copier paper, brown paper
bags, envelopes, plastic 2-liter pop bottles, plastic milk jugs,
plastic water jugs, aluminum, steel or tin cans, corrugated
cardboard and chipboard and newsprint.
Nonrecyclables, which cannot be accepted, include carbon paper,
tissue paper, coated fax paper, napkins, paper cups, motor oil
containers, antifreeze containers, pesticide containers,
margarine containers, wax-covered cardboard, tar paper and
glass.
Recycling pickup services are available to each customer at no
additional charge; however, members are required to subscribe to
the service.
